Psychotherapy &
Psychedelic Support
Therapy at Psychey is grounded in creating a safe, supportive space where you can explore your story, process challenges, and reconnect with your inner strength. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or life transitions, Michelle brings together modern psychoanalysis, Jungian dreamwork, and evidence-based approaches to help you move toward healing and growth.
For some clients, therapy is traditional talk-based work. For others, it may also include support around psychedelics — such as integration of past experiences or ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP).
Psychedelic support is never required; it’s simply one option that can be incorporated into your care if it fits your needs and goals.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
KAP combines carefully prescribed low-dose ketamine with therapy to support treatment of conditions like depression, anxiety, PTSD, and postpartum mood disorders. Michelle works in partnership with a licensed prescriber who completes the medical intake and prescribes ketamine if appropriate.
Perinatal Mental Health
Michelle has supported parents and infants for over 18 years, combining her training as a psychotherapist, postpartum doula, and International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Her approach weaves together clinical expertise and hands-on experience to meet families where they are, whether navigating the transitions of pregnancy, postpartum, or feeding.
Areas of support include:
Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders
Feeding transitions and weaning
Infant feeding challenges (low supply, oral anatomy issues, multiples, complex feeding plans)
Emotional shifts that arise in pregnancy and postpartum
Michelle can connect you with a supportive lactation consultant (IBCLC) to assist you in creating pumping plans that support both feeding goals and KAP preparation.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for Postpartum Mothers
As part of her perinatal work, Michelle offers ketamine-assisted psychotherapy in partnership with local prescribers. Research suggests KAP can provide promising support for treatment-resistant depression and early postpartum depression.
Breastfeeding parents are eligible if following a 12-hour pump-and-dump protocol. Michelle also provides lactation consultations to create pumping plans that support both feeding goals and KAP preparation. Preparation and integration sessions are offered virtually or in person at the New Hope, PA office.
“My ketamine experience felt like a journey through my own mind, where I encountered beautiful visuals and accessed difficult areas of my life from a new angle. It was as if I was floating outside my body, leaving my habitual state of mind behind, and opening myself to new possibilities.”

The Importance of Integration
Psychedelic experiences can open profound insights, but without support they may also feel overwhelming or destabilizing. As the effects linger, many people find themselves caught between the extraordinary and the everyday. This in-between space can feel disorienting — but it can also be a powerful opportunity for growth.
Integration is the process of making sense of these experiences and weaving them into daily life. With guided support, insights are transformed into lasting change: healthier patterns, improved emotional balance, and a renewed sense of meaning. Integration helps anchor what was uncovered, so it becomes not just a memory of the experience, but a catalyst for long-term healing.
At Psychey, Michelle offers integration as a cornerstone of her work. It’s about honoring the insights, facing the challenges that may surface, and creating a path forward that feels grounded, compassionate, and sustainable.
Research on Ketamine Therapy for Postpartum Mothers
Emerging research suggests that ketamine-assisted therapy may play a promising role in addressing postpartum depression and related challenges. While still evolving, these studies highlight both the potential benefits and the careful considerations for parents in the postpartum period.
